last night i dreamed i was at a mall about to get on the down escalator. mariah carey was there and so was shawn stockman from boyz ii men. they were supposed to be writing another song together (like one sweet day i reckon). well, shawn was on the same floor as me and mariah was at the bottom of the escalator. as i boarded the escalator she began singing (and i think shawn did too) and although i can't remember any lyrics i remember thinking it was the most beautiful song i had ever heard. and i started crying on the escalator. when i got to the bottom mariah hugged and consoled me. she had her crinkly vision of love hair and a brown freak'um dress on.

Well Tia, the song is about people who are no longer with us, and you represented one of those people who was coming down from heaven(or the escalator) for a minute, and you were overcome with emotion that she would write a song like that, so you embraced her, and then she invited you to the club(thus the freakum dress).
mr stockman was just an extra.
